FRP Dogbone Support Strip For Transformer Coil Fixing

FRP dogbone support strip for transformer coil fixing, commonly named I-shaped support strip, is pultruded fiberglass reinforced plastic for oil-immersed transformer coil oil channel support. Its I-shaped cross-section (dogbone profile) creates open oil flow channels between coils: upper and lower flat surfaces contact coils while the hollow waist allows smooth transformer oil circulation for heat dissipation. Solid square blocks block oil flow and cause heat accumulation.

A large power transformer manufacturer previously used wooden strips prone to moisture absorption, deformation, poor flame resistance and short service life. After switching to our FRP I-strips, zero moisture absorption, non-deformability and UL94 V0 flame resistance drastically improved performance with stable annual orders over 100,000 meters.
