3240 Epoxy Board

Our 3240 Epoxy Board is a rigid laminated board. It uses glass fiber cloth as reinforcement. It uses epoxy resin as the binder. One layer of cloth, one layer of resin. Then it is heated and pressed to cure. 3240 is the Chinese national standard number. What does 3240 mean? 32 stands for laminated products. 4 stands for epoxy resin. 0 means no special specification. Our 3240 Epoxy Board is one of the most used insulation boards in motors and electrical equipment. It is yellow. The surface is smooth. The mechanical strength is very high. A high-voltage switch factory came to us. They needed insulation spacers. The requirement was breakdown voltage above 30 kV and bending strength above 300 MPa. We sent them a sample of our 3240 Epoxy Board. The thickness was 5 mm. They tested it. Breakdown voltage was 35 kV. Bending strength was 380 MPa. Fully met the requirement. Before, they used imported boards at double the price. Now they buy 2000 sheets from us every year.

The performance of our 3240 Epoxy Board is as follows. Density is 1.8 g/cm³. Bending strength in the machine direction is 380 MPa. In the cross direction, it is 320 MPa. Breakdown voltage in the vertical direction is 25 kV. In the parallel direction, it is 15 kV. Water absorption is less than 0.5%. Temperature class is B (130°C). For short periods, it can go to 155°C. We have high-precision cutting machines. We can cut large boards into small sheets. The tolerance is ±0.2 mm. We also have punching machines and saws. We can do various shapes. Drilling, milling, turning. You give us a drawing. We give you finished parts. There are many 3240 Epoxy Board products on the market. But quality varies a lot. Some use recycled cloth. Some use poor quality resin. We use A-grade alkali-free glass fiber cloth. We use pure epoxy resin with no fillers. Our boards do not delaminate during processing.
