F-DMD Class F Insulation Paper

Class F F-DMD insulation paper is an upgraded version of ordinary DMD with enhanced temperature resistance, specially designed to meet the insulation requirements of Class F (155℃) motors and transformers. It also features a three-layer composite structure with a PET polyester film as the core layer laminated with polyester fiber non-woven fabric on both sides. The core difference lies in the special temperature-resistant treatment applied to the intermediate PET film, enabling long-term stable operation at 155℃, while ordinary DMD generally only reaches Class B (130℃). Last year, a motor manufacturer in Guangdong planned to export products to Europe, where European customers explicitly required insulation materials to meet Class F standards. Their previously used ordinary DMD failed to pass the test. We recommended F-DMD, and all 500 kg trial orders passed the inspection. Now they place a fixed monthly order of 3 tons.

We conducted a comparative experiment: our F-DMD and a competitor's F-DMD were placed in a 150℃ oven for continuous baking for 48 hours before measuring thermal shrinkage rate. The shrinkage rate of our product was only 1.2%, while that of the competitor reached 3.5%. Lower shrinkage means the insulation layer remains more stable under high temperatures without gaps formed by material shrinkage, thus eliminating hidden dangers of partial discharge. We dare to record this data in test reports because we perform high-temperature aging tests on every batch of goods.
