Diamond Dotted Paper

Our Diamond Dotted Paper is also called DDP. The surface has many small resin dots arranged in diamond-shaped grids. That is why it is called diamond dotted paper. At room temperature, the dots are solid. They are not sticky. Your customer puts our Diamond Dotted Paper between two layers of material. Then they heat it and press it. The resin dots melt. They bond the two layers together. After cooling, the bond is strong. A large dry-type transformer company came to us. They needed to bond copper foil to the insulation layer. Before, they used paper with full-surface glue. But full-surface glue reduced insulation performance. The glue itself does not insulate as well as paper. We recommended our Diamond Dotted Paper. The resin dots cover only about 15% of the area. The remaining 85% is still insulation paper. So the insulation performance is almost unaffected. They tested it and were very satisfied. Now it is their standard process.

Our Diamond Dotted Paper comes with different base materials. We have DMD-based DDP. We have PET film-based DDP. We have aramid paper-based DDP. We also have high-temperature DDP that works up to 200°C. And we have flame retardant DDP with UL94 V0 rating. The resin dot height is 30 to 80 microns. We can adjust it based on your customer's needs. Higher dots give stronger bonding. Shorter dots give better insulation. We can also control the curing speed. Some customers want fast curing. 150°C for just 5 minutes. Others want slow curing. They need 30 minutes of working time. We can do both. We have 2 dotting machines. Monthly capacity is 200 tons. We can make Diamond Dotted Paper up to 1600 mm wide. This is one of our main products. We ship 70 to 100 tons per month.
