SHS Prepreg

Our SHS Prepreg is a high-performance prepreg material. It is made by coating epoxy resin onto glass fiber cloth. Glass fiber cloth has very high strength. So our SHS Prepreg becomes extremely strong after curing. What is the difference between SHS Prepreg and DMD prepreg? DMD prepreg uses an organic base material. SHS Prepreg uses an inorganic glass fiber cloth. Glass fiber cloth does not burn. It also handles higher heat. Our SHS Prepreg can work at 180°C for a long time. In an emergency, it can go to 200°C. A mining transformer company came to us. Mining transformers require insulation materials that are flame retardant and can handle vibration. Ordinary DMD prepreg cracks under vibration. We recommended our SHS Prepreg. The tensile strength of glass fiber cloth is five times that of DMD. The customer did vibration tests. It passed. Now they use our SHS Prepreg for all their mining transformers.

We tested our SHS Prepreg after curing. The bending strength is 450 MPa. The insulation resistance is 10^13 ohms. The breakdown voltage is 20 kV/mm. These numbers are much higher than ordinary prepregs. The name SHS stands for Super High Strength. We developed this product to meet the need for high strength. Many customers need a material that can handle force when fixing the end of motor windings. Our SHS Prepreg can do that. We can cut our SHS Prepreg into sheets or punch it into shapes. Your customer puts it into a mold and hot presses it. Our curing temperature is 150°C to 170°C. Pressure is 3 to 5 MPa. Curing time is 30 to 60 minutes. This SHS Prepreg is a high-end product. The unit price is high. Your profit margin is also good. The technical barrier is high. Not many factories can supply it stably.
