DMD Prepreg

Our DMD insulation is not the same as DMD insulation paper. DMD insulation paper is already cured. It is a finished product. But our dmd insulation is a semi-finished material. The resin is not fully cured yet. Your customer can heat it and press it. The resin will flow and then harden. This allows the dmd insulation to stick to other materials. We make this product by coating epoxy resin onto DMD paper. The resin is at the B-stage. That means it is semi-cured. It does not feel sticky. But when you heat it above 150°C, it melts. Then it cools and becomes hard. A dry-type transformer factory came to us. They needed to bond copper foil to the insulation layer. Before, they applied resin themselves. It was uneven and took a lot of labor. We recommended our dmd insulation. They put it between the copper foil and the insulation paper. Then they hot pressed it. The resin melted and bonded the two layers together. Now they use 2000 kg of this dmd insulation every month.

We have technicians with over 20 years of experience in insulation materials. Our prepreg formula is developed in-house. The resin coating is very even. The coating weight variation is within ±5 grams per square meter. Many small factories can only manage ±20 grams. We put our dmd insulation in a hot press at 150°C for 30 minutes. After curing, the bond strength is 3.5 MPa. The industry standard is 2.5 MPa. We are 40% higher than the standard. Your customers do not need to worry about delamination. This dmd insulation needs to be kept cool. Store it below 5°C. The shelf life is 3 months. We ship it in insulated boxes with ice packs. Your customer should put it in a cold room immediately upon arrival.
