A Net-Like Material for Winding Fixation

 

Our epoxy coated mesh is a special insulation material. It looks like a net. It is a glass fiber grid cloth with a layer of epoxy resin on the surface. The grid has square holes. The hole size can be adjusted. Common sizes are 3 mm x 3 mm, 5 mm x 5 mm, and 10 mm x 10 mm. The resin coating is semi-cured at the B-stage. Your customer heats it. The resin melts. Then it cools and hardens. A large motor customer came to us. They needed to fix the end of the stator winding. Before, they used ropes to tie the windings. That took a lot of labor. We recommended our epoxy coated mesh. They wrapped the winding end with the mesh. Then they heated it. The epoxy melted and bonded the mesh to the windings. The winding shape looked very good. They saved 70% of their labor cost. Now they use this method on every production line.

Holes Allow Resin to Flow Freely

 

The holes in our epoxy coated mesh allow air and resin to flow through. In vacuum impregnation processes, solid insulation materials can block resin flow. Our epoxy coated mesh does not block it. Our epoxy coating is very even. The coating thickness is controlled between 0.05 mm and 0.2 mm. We can adjust it according to your customer's needs. A thicker coating gives stronger bonding but less flexibility. We did a cost calculation for a customer. Replacing manual tying with our epoxy coated mesh reduced labor cost by 70%. Production efficiency increased three times. The material cost went up a little. But the total cost dropped by about 30%. That is real savings.
